Project Information

The HPCL Solar Power Project in Maharashtra is a landmark 10.2 MW solar energy installation executed by Kishan Infrastructure Industries Pvt. Ltd. (KIIPL). This project reflects the growing shift of public sector undertakings like HPCL towards clean energy adoption and sustainability. With a project cost of ₹49 Crore, this solar plant plays a vital role in HPCL’s green transition and energy cost optimization.

The solar project spans a significant land area and has been engineered with precision to ensure optimum energy generation, durability, and low maintenance. From module selection to civil design, the project was tailored to meet HPCL’s stringent quality, safety, and performance standards. The plant is capable of generating approximately 16 million units of electricity annually, helping HPCL reduce its dependence on conventional sources and offsetting tons of CO₂ emissions each year.

This initiative also supports the Government of India's National Solar Mission and strengthens the state's grid with clean energy. By integrating this system, HPCL is not only reducing operational energy costs but also contributing toward India's larger environmental goals.

Project Scope

The scope of work for this turnkey solar EPC project included complete design, procurement, engineering, construction, and commissioning. KIIPL started with detailed site surveys and solar resource analysis, followed by the development of optimized layouts and plant design.

The civil work included land grading, compound wall construction, internal pathways, drainage design, and construction of control rooms. Structural work involved installing module mounting structures using hot-dip galvanized steel to ensure corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.

On the electrical side, the scope covered module stringing, inverter installations, LT/HT panel integration, transformer installation, and final grid synchronization. SCADA-based monitoring systems were installed to track real-time plant performance and ensure efficient O&M in the long term.

Special attention was given to safety protocols and grid compliance standards. The entire project was executed within the committed timeline, maintaining the highest standards of engineering, health, and environmental safety.
